Thames Valley Business Awards to Opens Mental Health Category
The 2017 Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards campaign is launched this month – with a new award category that recognises workplace mental health.
Supported by Brighter Berkshire and the Cardinal Clinic. Alison Foster of Brighter Berkshire said: ‘We are so pleased that The Business Magazine Awards are supporting mental health this year – 2017 is the year of mental health and there is a great deal of focus on it, with Prince Harry, among others, publicly discussing the issue. We want to recognise those employers that take the issues seriously. For instance, those who send key staff on a mental first-aid course, or who have policies in place to support stress and depression.”
Awards chairman David Murray said: “We are proud to be providing a platform for this important issues. Good employers understand that, apart from supporting the individuals involved, they can improve productivity in their company by having robust policies in place. We hope to be able to recognise some of the best employer practices out there.”
The Awards event will be held at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading on Thursday 16th November.
