Come along to our next event to launch Brighter Berkshire in Wokingham

Come to this inaugural meeting with your ideas, suggestions and offers of help, to think about how we can support anyone in Wokingham who has ever been affected by mental ill health. That will be several hundred people, if you consider 1 in 4 people are affected by mental illness in any year, and each person will have family, friends and colleagues.

We need to start talking openly about mental illness to reduce, if not remove, the stigma associated with it. This stigma is so strong that many people, especially young men, will literally take their own lives rather than get help/treatment/support. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50.

In Wokingham we want to see what the community can achieve by coming together with ideas, suggestions and pledges to help.

We would love people from all walks of life to attend – businesses, organisations, services, from the world of art, theatre, music, literature, as well as practical help with venues, refreshments, expenses.
You can email Anne-Marie if you would like to get involved.
What to bring:
